Pinterest: Will it ever be helpful for B2B?

Since Pinterest started, everyone has been all the rage to get an invite from their social friends. Pinterest has the ability to share your content with Facebook and Twitter. But since then, all businesses, mostly B2C, been using Pinterest as a way to understand the consumer’s thought process and what consumers wants and needs are. Based on these ideals, it got me to thinking will Pinterest be utilized for the B2B market.

LinkedIn and B2B

Most content to interact with B2B has been through LinkedIn company pages and LinkedIn groups. Knowing this, will it ever be another dominant social network for B2B businesses. Working for a B2B, I am always interested in doing whatever I can to do more creative based marketing.All companies have a creative department, but would there be ways integrate social marketing with creative to develop better content for websites or social campaigns using Pinterest?

Creativity and innovation is key ideals to develop a great social media strategy. Maybe these can be used for campaigns via fundraising or employee engagement. Using photos to generate ideas for a project  using photo boards employees or clients to develop a campaign. Maybe, it would great way to interact with colleagues to promote employee engagement.

Corporate Reports and Case Studies

Another idea, maybe graphs and reports, for corporate companies being posted and directing it to articles on company’s websites. Some sites have great article content that others may not be aware of. Mostly articles based on academic business like case studies and creative reports that can be beneficial for B2B.  

What are your thoughts, Can Pinterest be used for B2B or will it only be ideal for consumers?
